Christian Büttiker is a film editor based in Basel, Switzerland.

Since completing his bachelor's degree in film with a focus on editing at HSLU in Lucerne in 2020, he has worked primarily on documentary projects and was nominated for best new editor at the "Edimotion Film Festival" in 2023 for the short film "Il Nonno che non c'e’ ".

Before studying film, he completed a bachelor's degree in Media Arts in Fine Arts at the ZHDK in Zurich.

His first feature film, the music documentary "Play with the Devil", was shown at "Doc NYC", "Dok.fest München", the "Solothurn Film Festival" and in Swiss cinemas, among others. With the second feature documentary "The Roots of Madness’" by Edgar Hagen, he took part in the renowned international workshop "dok.inkubator".
